Privacy Policy

Kinroost is a private family social platform you actually own — your photos, your people, with no ads, no tracking, and no algorithm. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Who we are

Information we collect

• Account info — your name, email, and (optionally) mobile number and profile details you add.
• Content you share — photos, videos, posts, comments, reactions, events, and messages within your family space.
• Usage & device data — basic technical information needed to operate the service securely.

How we use it

• To run your private family space — show your feed, deliver invites, and send notifications you opt into.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• We do not sell your information or use your family’s content to train advertising or third-party AI systems.

Who we share with

Only the service providers needed to operate Kinroost, strictly to deliver the features you use:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and media storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Resend — transactional email (invites, notifications you opt into).
• Twilio — SMS delivery, only if you opt into text messages (see below).

We share with these providers only what’s necessary, and as required by law. We do not sell personal information.

SMS / Text Messaging

Kinroost has two separate SMS uses. When you request a login or security code, Twilio Verify sends a one-time transactional message; these user-requested codes are not part of the Kinroost Family Notifications campaign. Separately, if you check the dedicated, unchecked-by-default family-notifications consent box, Kinroost may send informational updates about activity in your private family space. That optional consent applies only to family notifications and is not combined with login-code or marketing consent. Kinroost does not send marketing or promotional text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop family notifications at any time; reply HELP for help.

Kinroost does not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your mobile phone number, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or messaging consent to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information is not shared with any third parties. Kinroost may disclose a mobile number to Twilio only as needed to deliver the Kinroost messages you requested, never for Twilio’s or any other party’s marketing or promotional use. We do not sell your mobile number or SMS consent.

You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP or by contacting support@kinroost.com. We retain SMS consent records as required to operate the program and demonstrate compliance. See our SMS Terms for full program details.

Children

Kinroost is a private family space that may include content about children, shared by family members within the closed family circle. We do not make any content public, and we do not direct marketing to anyone. Parents/guardians control what is shared and can request removal at any time.

Your choices

• Opt out of SMS any time (reply STOP) and email notifications in your settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@kinroost.com.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
